Andy has a passion for building businesses, cultures and user experiences. He believes creating a culture which fosters collaboration, creative freedom and honest interactions directly influences the quality of user experience solutions.
With nearly 20 years of experience in the UX field, he has worked on hundreds of solutions for customers in a
variety of industries including: agriculture, military, gaming, financial, insurance and e-commerce. One of his most memorable projects was creating a touch-screen interface for an armored vehicle used to detect plastic IEDs.
A designer at heart, Andy is energized every time he opens Photoshop, Illustrator or his Faber-Castell colored pencil case. A family history of entrepreneurship drew him to start his own business in 2001. The ability to think creatively and understand complex business challenges has helped him and his business partner grow VLG to over 20 people and land a spot on the prestigious Inc. 500 list.
When not at VLG, Andy loves to travel, exercise and spend time outdoors with his wife, Holly, and their two children, Mac and Bella. If Andy could be anywhere right now, he’d be on a deep-sea fishing boat.
