and has received numerous awards and recognitions over the years, including Top 10 AI Influencers, Top 100 Digital Shapers in Switzerland, and Forbes Top 50 Digital Leaders DACH. Together with Dalith Steiger, he founded the award-winning start-up SwissCognitive and the CognitiveValley Foundation. He has been President of the Swiss IT Leadership Forum, an association for CIOs, since 2014 and a member of the Board of SwissICT, the largest IT user association in Switzerland, since 2016. Andy sits on several boards of various companies, is a lecturer at the Bern University of Applied Sciences and a lecturer at ETH. Previously Andy has worked for over 25 years as a board member, Group CIO and Digital Leader in various international and national companies in the technology, automation and banking sector. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, an Executive MBA from the University of St. Gallen and was awarded during his corporate times as the best Swiss CIO. Today, Andy uses his extensive experience and solid analytical skills to accelerate the growth of start-ups by providing valuable advice on their growth strategy and connecting them with suitable venture capitalists. Andy is also a sailing instructor and skipper on the world's oceans, with a preference for high latitudes. Sailing is his great passion, providing him with a great balance for head and soul.
