Dr. Andy Dahl is a leading healthcare innovator and transformational change agent, and a significant contributor to Recondo Strategy, Partnerships, and Business Development activities. He has served on the faculty of Cornell University as Executive in Residence in the Sloan Program in Health Administration, Department of Health Policy and
Management.
Recently he was Executive Consultant to the CEO of Fairview Health Services and the University of Minnesota Academic Health Center.
Dr. Dahl was President and CEO of Evolution Benefits and pioneered point-of-service adjudication and payment of health services (The Benny Card).
He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of HealthNet of Kansas City.
As Vice President of Consumer Driven Health and Human Resources at Alegent, Dr. Dahl developed "MY COST," a unique web site to determine consumer out-of-pocket cost prior to service delivery and enabled 20,000 employees and dependents to voluntarily enroll in a high-deductible, consumer-driven health plan. This program was so successful in reducing healthcare costs that after the first year, Alegent returned a bonus of $200 to every enrolled employee.
Formerly, Dr. Dahl was President and Chief Executive Officer of IntegraMed (INMD: NASDAQ ), where he was instrumental in taking the corporation public.
He also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of St. John Health and Hospital Corporation in Detroit and was Associate Professor of Community Medicine at Wayne State University Medical School.
Dr. Dahl was Vice President for Development of the Hospital Corporation of America, Management Company, and is on the Board of Directors of AVAX – Technologies, a public biotechnology firm developing cancer vaccines.
He is a Senior Advisor and Board Member of Symphony Corporation, a leading health services software company, and was a senior advisor to Carol Corporation.
Dr. Dahl received his Sc.D. from The Johns Hopkins University and his M.P.A. from Cornell University, and is a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives.
