Andrew Parro is a performance-focused swim coach and exercise science specialist. He helps athletes reach their full potential through goal-oriented training and mentorship. As associate head swimming coach at Colorado Mesa University, Andrew Parro manages recruiting, coordinates athlete training groups, and assists with all aspects of team

operations. He was previously an adjunct faculty member at the institution, developing curriculum and teaching kinesiology. He is an ASCA Level III coach, NSPF certified pool operator, and is SURGE Strength Dryland certified.

Over the course of his career, Andrew Parro has led successful programs across collegiate, club, and high school swimming. At Illinois Institute of Technology, he coached the school’s first NCAA Championship qualifier and guided the program to a conference championship. At Whitney Young High School, he developed four NISCA All-American swimmers and one IHSA state runner-up. He also founded Six Point Aquatics in Chicago, Illinois, growing the organization from six swimmers to 80 athletes while developing a successful swim school program.

Andrew Parro has been recognized as Liberal Arts Conference Coach of the Year and remains active in national coaching organizations, including CSCAA and USA Swimming. He has served on the CSCAA DII Dual Meet Poll Committee and on the IHSA Swimming and Diving Advisory Board. He earned an MS in exercise science with an emphasis in sport performance training from Concordia University Chicago. He is also a BS candidate studying kinesiology and exercise science at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
