He is a business lawyer in Oslo and a partner in the law firm Glittertind AS. Ryssdal is a Dr. juris, with the right to appear before the Supreme Court, and he is chairman of the nomination committee in Orkla ASA, Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics ASA, Pandox AB and Eiendomsspar
AS. He is the chairman of the board of Victoria Eiendom AS. Ryssdal has been a former leader of the Norwegian Bar Association and a board member of e.g. Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA.
