Anders Evju leads all business development and mobile social gaming partnership initiatives for the PlayPhone Social Gaming Network (PSGN.). He has more than 20 years of experience in the wireless industry and has been involved in the creation of mobile entertainment services since its inception in the mid 1990's.
Anders joined the
PlayPhone team in 2010 after 10 years on the management teams of I-play and Oberon Media. Anders was responsible for co-founding and leading I-play US in 2000, where he as SVP and General Manager was an integral part of the success leading to the sale to Oberon Media in 2007. Following the acquisition, Anders later took over the responsibility as SVP of Oberon Media where he managed the global operations of the leading casual games company.
Prior to starting up the US division of I-play, Anders was with MobileSpring as co-founder and Vice President of Business Development. He has U.S. wireless carrier background from Omnipoint Communications, where he was responsible for strategic planning of Wireless Internet Solutions.
Anders gained extensive European telecom experience during his three years in Norway at NetCom GSM, where he was as a Director of Business Development and responsible for the initial planning, development and commercial launch of Mother, one of the world's first mobile portals, as well as the development of content based text messaging products. Major launches included the first commercial launch of SMS-chat over text-TV, downloadable ringtones/icons, and calendar/e-mail wireless integration.
Anders was educated at West Virginia University, and has attended the MBA program at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA.
