Amnon joined Sunrise in 2001 and is the President. In October 2003, Amnon founded and became Managing Partner of Sunrise Equity Partners, L.P., a $174 Million SBIC fund, which made direct investments in public companies.
Previously, Amnon served as Managing Director of Investment Banking at Josephthal & Co. Inc. Prior to Josephthal, Amnon was
Deputy Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking at Poalim Capital Markets & Investments Group in Israel. From 1987 to 1996, Amnon held various lending, credit analysis and corporate banking positions in major financial institutions including Bank of New Zealand, National Australia Bank, The New Zealand Treasury and Bank Leumi.
Amnon received a PH.D. in Finance and Accountancy from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand in 1994, an MA in Economics and Business Administration from Tel Aviv University in 1987, and a BA Degree in Economics from Tel Aviv University in 1982. Amnon was a captain in the military intelligence unit of the Israel Defense Forces.
