Ammon Haggerty is a multi-disciplinary design leader and technology innovator working at the forefront of interaction design. He has extensive experience building and managing creative and technical product teams across all stages of the creation process. His background in both design and engineering has placed him in critical roles that have
brought important new technologies into the world.
He was first recognized by Macromedia for his work at Quokka Sports building live coverage of the Nagano Olympics and a live, mountaineering adventure called First Ascent. He went on to lead creative efforts for Nike, Redbull, and other global brands — winning more than 50 major awards, including Cannes Lion and Webby Awards. He led creative and innovation teams at Obscura, where he built a working concept of early physical augmented reality for Facebook. He holds multiple patents related to remote collaboration with his work on Bluescape. He was invited to join Blaise Aguera y Arcas's team at Microsoft to work on HoloLens, Cortana, and Photosynth. He helped BCG build their SF venture studio and lead the design team, where he helped architect multiple successful ventures.
He co-founded Formation, which built the first "hyper-personalization" product — a new category of personalization that powers Starbucks, United Airlines, Giant Eagle and many other major brands. He's now the co-founder/CCO of Joinable — the next-gen "local community network" (social network for local communities).
