Ami Mehta earned her Bachelors of Science in Biology from Emory University and her Masters of Science in Genetic Counseling and certificate in Public Health Genomics from Sarah Lawrence College.
Prior to joining CombiMatrix in January 2013, Ami worked as a pediatric genetic counselor at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC from
2010-2012 and as a prenatal and pediatric genetic counselor at Emory University Department of Human Genetics in Atlanta, GA from 2008-2010.
During her clinical experience, she provided genetic counseling in general pediatric and adult genetic clinics and specialty clinics such as cardiogenetics and actively participated in the clinical supervision of genetic counseling graduate students.
She is a diplomat of the American Board of Genetic Counseling and is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors and American College of Medical Genetics.
