Alvin continually looks out for new technologies, ideas and innovation to turn them into business opportunities. His passion is to merge business ideas and technologies, to turn them into successful products.
He currently is the Co-Founder & CEO for Neeuro and holds technical advisory roles in several startups. At the same time, Alvin is a
mentor with incubator, TNF Ventures.
Alvin co-founded Brandtology in 2008, a leader in Business & Brand online intelligence services. As the CTO, he headed R&D and Operations across South East Asia and China. In February 2011, Media Monitors (currently known as iSentia), headquartered in Sydney Australia acquired majority stake in Brandtology and the remainder in June 2014.
Prior to Brandtology, Alvin was a senior research scientist with DSO National Laboratories that contributed towards Singapore’s national security. A specialist in the areas of information leakages, counter-intelligence activities and critical infrastructure protection, he analyzed emerging threats and identified technology to secure and enhance business processes. Alvin graduated with a degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and followed by a PhD from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.
