Allan S. Bufferd is a member of our Board of Directors. Mr. Bufferd has been Treasurer Emeritus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology since his retirement in May 2006 as MIT's Treasurer and Chief Investment Officer. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Bufferd served as the first president of the MIT Investment Management Company since July
2004. Mr. Bufferd holds S.B., S.M. and Sc.D. degrees in materials engineering from MIT and a J.D. from Suffolk University. Mr. Bufferd is a director of City of London Investment Group PLC. Mr. Bufferd is also a director of RAM Holdings Ltd., where he is a member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and Risk Committee. Mr. Bufferd also serves on the advisory boards of certain private investment funds and as a director or trustee of certain non-profit organizations.
