Alexandre Colle is the co-founder and CEO of Konpanion, a company based in London that develops robots for the home. Konpanion merges artificial intelligence with user-centred design principles to create a new breed of domestic companions. His career spans various industries including fashion and luxury hospitality, prior to his shift to robotics.
In the fashion sector, Alexandre co-founded Apologie, a Paris-based brand, overseeing strategic development, sales, and finance. He also managed the turnaround of Hotel Particulier Montmartre, enhancing its profitability and operational strategy. Currently, Alexandre is Head of Product at Crow Industries in Phoenix, Arizona, where he supports the founder with product strategy, design, and branding. Alexandre served has principal for Human-Robot Interaction and Design for the Small Robotic company for five years. His role involves extensive user research and data analysis to align product development with market needs. In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavours, Alexandre is pursuing a PhD in Robotics and Autonomous Systems at The University of Edinburgh, focusing on Human-Robot Interaction (HRI), soft robotics, and the aesthetics of social robots. His academic work supports his professional projects, which aim to seamlessly integrate robots into human environments, enhancing both functionality and user experience.
