Mr. Furman is a founding partner of Aurus Gestión de Inversiones. Mr. Furman was also president and controlling stockholder of Banco Internacional, an institution dedicated to SME financing in Chile. In 2007, Banco Internacional was acquired by a respected group of Chilean businessmen.

Alimentos Mainstream S.A., one of the pioneers in the Salmon Farming Industry in Chile. The Company went public in 1993, and eventually the family's control was sold to Cultor, a Finnish group, in 1995.
Previously, he was also an executive vice president of Compañía Productora Nacional de Aceites (Coprona S.A.), a major local producer of edible oils and margarine. Coprona –controlled by the Furman family- was sold to Unilever in 1989.
Alejandro Furman holds an MBA from University of California (UCLA), and a Chemical Engineering Degree from the University of Minnesota.
