Alec Doyle builds upon a long and diverse career in the performing arts in his role as executive director of the historic Colonial Theatre in Keene, NH. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, he received a bachelor of arts in cultural anthropology and theater arts. He went on to find success in the theater world as a director and producer

with L.A. Theatre Works, L.A. Theatre Center, Odyssey Theater Ensemble and Pacific Resident Theatre, among others. His productions have been honored with an LA Drama Critics Circle Award, LA Weekly Theater Award and a Drama-Logue Award. Alec Doyle of Keene, NH, has also written, directed, and produced dozens of film and media projects for companies such as TriStar Pictures, Sony, DIRECTV and National Public Radio.

Mr. Doyle has directed operations at the 900-seat Colonial Theatre for nearly 15 years. Each season, he curates more than 50 events, ranging from music and dance to school series productions and first-run independent film screenings. His accomplishments with the theater include increasing education program attendance by 50 percent and doubling the organization’s operating budget.
