Alan Yang is the Chief Executive Officer and a Senior Managing Director of GCP. Prior to forming GCP, Alan was the Chief Investment Officer of GLP and led GLP’s U.S. entry through the acquisition of IndCor from Blackstone. While at GLP, Alan led large scale, strategic initiatives outside of China and Japan. Since joining GLP in 2015 until the
formation of GCP, GLP grew from $11bn to $64bn of AUM. Prior to GLP, Alan was a Principal at Blackstone where he spent nearly eight years executing over $70bn of transactions across all asset classes. He was also a founding member of Blackstone’s LA and Tokyo offices in 2005 and 2007, respectively. Prior to Blackstone, Alan started his career in Merrill Lynch’s real estate investment banking group. Alan graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
