Alan has nearly 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
Before running his own core lab company, GeoCore, he served as a geologist and petrophysicist at Marathon Oil Research. Alan also worked for Core Laboratories, Tetra Tech, and the Kansas Geological Survey.
Most recently, Alan was Chief Petrophysicist at Chesapeake Energy. At
C12 Energy, Alan serves as the most senior technical mind and touches every technical assessment within the company in that capacity.
He holds a B.S. in geology from the University of Illinois as well as an M.S. from the University of Chicago. He has published 88 papers.
