Abdullah is a senior machine learning scientist at Qloo, whose work includes developing advanced models (using ML paradigms such as neural networks) for making inferences about aesthetic preferences. Previously Abdullah received his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics at Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Abdullah's research and
dissertation focused on using compressed sensing-based approaches to make inferences about essential nodes in neural networks and understanding the time scale dynamics of the neural and behavioral states. Abdullah taught graduate-level courses: advanced mathematical methods for modern biology and inference, information theory, machine learning methods at Harvard.
