Aaron grew up in the Intermountain Western U.S., where as Team Captain, he led his high school soccer team to the State Championship, winning recognitions, including: 5A All-State First Team, Most Valuable Player (MVP), and Gatorade Player of the Year. He also served as “Area Leader” on a two-year service mission along the U.S./Mexican border;
immersing himself in American-Latin culture, fluently speaking Spanish, and organizing and executing hurricane relief efforts in the wake of the devastation of Hurricane Ike. Aaron began his career in California, selling solar energy solutions door-to-door, and ending his long days by sleeping on the ground of an unfurnished apartment at night.
After Aaron's success in California, he was invited to play a key role in building out SolarCity’s (i.e., Tesla’s) Direct Sales Channel. Within his first year, he was honored with their prestigious Helios Award for managing the top producing sales office in the company, promoted to Sales Director (overseeing a division of 200+ sales consultants); and celebrated for leading the top producing division in the company, with the lowest cost of customer acquisition.
Aaron later envisioned the creation of a superior customer experience, through a focus on speed and quality, and personally funded the creation of Kayo Energy. He began selling the company’s first accounts, door-to-door. And in its first year of being in business, Kayo Energy grew from 0 to 100+ employees, provided 15 million kilowatt hours of solar-derived electricity, and hit ~$14 million in revenue in the first year of business! In 2021 Kayo Energy ranked #175 on the Inc 5000 list and in 2022 ranked #108 on the Inc 5000 list, and was recognized as #6 in the Southwest. Aaron is a Forbes 1000 Honoree. As of 2022 Kayo Energy’s 3-year growth rate is 4,052%.
