Aaron Evans is the finance manager and a portfolio analyst at Mercato Partners. Aaron has a unique blend of experience in investments, valuation, accounting and financial reporting. At Mercato, Aaron manages accounting, financial reporting and tax as well as supports fundraising, investor relations and the investment team.
Prior to joining
Mercato, Aaron was a senior associate at the Capital Group, a privately held investment manager with over $1.1 trillion in assets under management. At the Capital Group Aaron was responsible for managing all corporate actions including mergers, acquisitions and spin-offs.
Prior to the Capital Group, Aaron worked at Pacific Life Insurance Company providing back office support for the accounting, reporting, investor relations and fundraising functions for the Montauk TriGuard funds. Before Pacific Life, Aaron was a senior audit associate at Grant Thornton LLP, where he performed audit and assurance functions for both privately held and publicly traded companies.
Aaron received a B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University—Idaho, an MBA from Idaho State University, and a Graduate Certificate in Financial Analysis and Valuation from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business. Aaron is a licensed CPA and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Aaron enjoys riding dirt bikes and playing golf.
