Zero Foodprint funds regenerative agriculture by channeling contributions from restaurants, food brands, and diners into grants for farmers and ranchers. The organization operates the Restore grants program, which supports practices such as compost application, cover crops, reduced tillage, agroforestry, hedgerows, and managed grazing to build soil
carbon. Zero Foodprint recruits food businesses as members, integrates an optional line-item or percentage contribution at checkout or via supply chain partnerships, and pools these funds for on-farm projects verified by independent planners. The nonprofit collaborates with technical advisors to design projects, monitor implementation, and report climate and soil outcomes. Services include member onboarding, participation materials, impact reporting, and producer grant administration. The approach connects everyday food purchases to climate solutions and helps producers address upfront costs for transitioning to regenerative management.
