World Mosquito Program is a not-for-profit initiative that develops and deploys the Wolbachia method to lower mosquito-borne disease transmission. It introduces Wolbachia bacteria into Aedes aegypti mosquitoes and releases them so the trait spreads through local mosquito populations. The program focuses on dengue, Zika, chikungunya, Mayaro and
