Company Performance Metrics
If you are looking for small class sizes, individual attention and an
opportunity to use the technology used by individuals in your chosen
career field, then Winter Park Tech is the school for you.
Individuals can choose between the Winter Park and the Avalon campuses,
both located in Florida. No matter which campus you choose, students will
have the chance to work with local business owners and will be given the
opportunity to shadow, intern or work with those business owners upon
graduation.
Financial aid is available for students who qualify for tuition
assistance, as Winter Park has the motto that students should “graduate
with jobs, not loans”. This school offers financial aid through federal
and state grants, Florida Bright Futures Scholarship, Student Financial
Aid Fund, private scholarships and assistance for certain populations of
students.
Winter Park currently offers 16 career certificate programs including
Arts, Business, Health Science, Human Services and Information
Technology. Additionally, Winter Park offers academics online for
individuals who require flexibility in their schedule. Students can
choose to earn an online certificate in Hemodialysis, Medical Assisting,
Medical Coding and Medical Record Transcription.
There are several student-run organizations in order to enhance college
life. Students can take part in the Toastmaster’s Club or make a
difference by becoming a representative in the Student Advisory Board.
The admissions office for Winter Park requires that all students who have
not attained an AS degree or higher take the TABE (Test of Adult Basic
Education) when applying. As this school has open enrollment, students
can enroll in a class at any time, as long as there are seats available.
