A thorough investigation of the incident concluded the attacker exploited a Web application
vulnerability. The way the application code was written provided an entry point for the perpetrator.
Comprehensive application assessment policies were quickly instituted to make sure all Web applications adhered to secure coding guidelines before becoming available to customers, partners, and/or vendors over the Internet.
