Company Performance Metrics
A company run by Moms and Dads for moms and dads. It all started with the concept of convenience. Like many parents, both Tom & Sarah saw a gap in Thailand and within South East Asia.
“They saw a huge gap in the marketplace, it’s a struggle getting to the stores at the last minute, whether it was to buy diapers, baby food and baby care
essentials, being stuck in traffic is one thing, they are both patient with that, however when it comes to having a colicky baby that’s screaming, well that’s a different story, What they gathered was that why don’t they bring and sell convenience?”
“Why do they need to wait in long queues at the supermarket, with a stroller on one side, and a basket on the other side, it’s a difficult process altogether and for some of us, they don’t tend to step food outside of the house during the first precious weeks of their newborns” Both Tom & Sarah are parents, Tom has 3 young boys and Sarah has an 11month old baby girl, with the help of investors and the parent company What’s New, Venbi.com was born.
Sarah explains that the concept of Venbi is driven by Care, “What I mean when I say they care, is that they care about the products they select, they are conscious of the brands they sell, they only sell products that they think are positive for baby development and are safe, they have also joined the NO to Nestle boycott however they try to maintain a good balance of products for all types of parents, both of us know that parents within Thailand are missing out, what their missing out on is not only convenience and the ability to shop online, but also on a product level, whenever they go abroad and travel, I bring suitcases home of products that are either organic, natural, safe or fun or whatever it may be and just not in the Thai marketplace, they are establishing relationships with overseas partners to bring these products in and make them available.”
