Universal Commerce Group is an international Internet holding group that owns and manages 18 international e-commerce projects across various sectors including finance, medicine, fashion, real estate, automotive, employment, and recruiting. Its mission is to create a digital ecosystem that facilitates user-friendly interactions and information
exchange between consumers and businesses. UCG specializes in lead generation through search engines, price comparison websites, and online marketplaces. UCG operates in 48 markets worldwide and maintains three offices in Ukraine (Kiev, Dnipro, Zaporozhye). The company employs more than 300 individuals across three countries.
Founded in 2012 by a group of Ukrainian entrepreneurs and businesspersons, the concept of establishing one of the largest Internet holdings in Eastern Europe was conceived by the renowned Ukrainian entrepreneur and businessperson, Gennadiy Vasyukov. The primary objective was to create and launch a group of projects, later unified under Universal Commerce Group (UCG), to offer a comprehensive range of services within the e-commerce niche, including money transfers and product selection in the B2B and C2C sectors.
Over several years, negotiations were conducted with various Internet entrepreneurs to explore the potential for collaborative ventures. In 2012, to bring the vision to life, a decision was made to merge with the investment fund Maxima Group (later known as Noosphere). Maxima Group managed the popular Ukrainian aggregator, Price.ua, which served as an all-Ukrainian information online catalog of goods and services. Additionally, it oversaw services like Avtomax.ua and Krysha.ua, specializing in searches related to automobiles and real estate at that time. In 2012, Price.ua averaged 150 thousand daily visitors, and the number of project partners, online stores, increased from 1000 to 1500, with an average purchase amounting to around 2.5 thousand UAH on partner sites.
Subsequently, the group acquired and launched additional platforms, including sravni.ua, trud.ua, urok.trud.ua, zagran.trud.ua, rul.ua, and metry.ua. In 2012, Andrey Bronetsky, the CEO of one of the world's largest dating sites, Mamba.ru, joined the UCG Board of Directors. In early 2012, Bronetsky acquired the domain Aport.ru from the Russian telecommunications company VimpelCom for 150 thousand dollars. Notably, in 2000, Golden Telecom paid $25 million for this domain.
Universal Commerce Group has ventured into the field of Big Data, encompassing predictive mathematical model creation, marketing research, infrastructure development consulting, and methodology for handling extensive data sets. Additionally, the company's portfolio includes the development of a database management system based on its proprietary solution.
