In addition to serving as the university’s health care center, the University of Mississippi Medical Center is a premier research institution. UMMC’s vast academics are administered through the following divisions:

The School of Medicine and School of Dentistry each offer one program, while the School of Nursing offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in Nursing. This includes the RN-MSN bridge program, which has several different tracks leading to different careers.
UMMC’s School of Health Related Professions features the widest range of programs. At SHRP, you can study everything from Clinical Laboratory Sciences to Physical Therapy. There’s also a “2 + U” online program, designed for associate’s degree holders who want to continue their education.
The Medical Center’s School of Graduate Studies awards MS and PhD degrees in a variety of subjects, including Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Neuroscience. Additionally, the Graduate School features a combined MD/PhD. This program is ideal for those interested in research and academia.
