Uganda Airlines, the national carrier of Uganda, was re-established in 2019 after a hiatus, marking a significant step in the country's aviation sector. The airline commenced operations with a fleet comprising four Bombardier CRJ900 regional jets and later expanded to include two Airbus A330-800neo aircraft, facilitating both regional and
long-haul flights. Since its relaunch, Uganda Airlines has progressively expanded its network. Initially focusing on East African destinations such as Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, and Juba, the airline has extended its reach to include cities like Dubai, Mumbai, and Kinshasa. In September 2024, it launched new routes to Abuja, Lusaka, and Harare, bringing its total destinations to 16 . These expansions aim to enhance intra-African connectivity and support economic integration across the continent.
