Transparent Collective is a San Francisco–based nonprofit accelerator dedicated to increasing access, opportunity, and success for underrepresented founders—particularly Black, Latinx/Hispanic, and women entrepreneurs—within the venture-backed tech ecosystem. Founded as a 501(c)(3) organization, Transparent Collective has spent more than a
decade building community and empowering overlooked founders to overcome structural barriers to funding, growth, and network access.
Through intensive, founder-centric programming, participants receive hands-on coaching in storytelling and fundraising, operational skill-building, and curated connections with experienced operators, mentors, and venture investors. The accelerator’s programs focus on refining pitch narratives, strengthening go-to-market strategies, and expanding professional networks that position early-stage companies for durable success.
To date, Transparent Collective has supported over 100 founders who collectively have raised more than $150 million in capital, with a significant proportion securing funding from top accelerators and venture firms. Its portfolio reflects measurable impact in advancing diverse founders into mainstream fundraising and growth channels.
In addition to its core accelerator offerings, Transparent Collective is innovating with initiatives such as Cortex AI, a three-month residential accelerator in San Francisco that deepens technical fluency in AI, builds operational capacity, and fosters community among exceptional founders navigating the frontier of generative technology.
By bridging gaps in capital access, mentorship, and networks, Transparent Collective strives to level the playing field so that founders from historically underrepresented backgrounds can build scalable, successful technology companies with long-term impact.
