Company Performance Metrics
Thinks Works is an early-stage biomedical company developing ideas and products that help to solve problems that humans are dealing with. It is the concept of founder Ryan C. Murdock, MD. Through his interactions with his patients dealing with the condition of scoliosis, he saw a need for improvement in the treatment of scoliosis. He set this as a
goal and now has begun to build an incredible team to bring his vision to reality so that we may dramatically improve the lives of these patients.
Its device is for the non-operative treatment of adolescent scoliosis, a severe curvature of the spine in kids. Approximately 10,000 US kids per year require brace treatment. The current treatment is a custom-made hard plastic brace. It keeps the spine immobile by compressing the ribs. It has poor patient compliance and outcomes at a high patient cost. Its novel device will improve patient comfort, compliance, and outcomes at a lower total patient cost.
