Thimphu TechPark (TTP) is the flagship IT development in the Kingdom of Bhutan. It is the country’s first IT Park – promoted by the Ministry of Information & Communications, supported by the World Bank and developed jointly by Assetz Property Group of Singapore and Druk Holdings & Investments, Bhutan.
The project is located in Thimphu,
Bhutan’s capital and is being developed as a 250,000 square feet IT-focused mixed use development spread over 18 acres. The first phase of the project which became operational from May 2012 comprises about 58,000 square feet of IT office and data centre space.
Currently, a data centre, a business incubation centre and five IT/ITES companies employing about 450 Bhutanese youths are located at the IT Park. It is estimated that there are currently about 10,000 English-speaking graduates looking for jobs. We also have more space for companies to locate at the IT Park. The Royal Government of Bhutan has offered a host of incentives for FDI companies locating at the IT Park in order create employment opportunities for the Bhutanese youth.
