a Training Organisation, TLC offers industry recognised courses to provide qualifications and skills to business clients and individuals.

TLC is renowned for trainer training. TLC Principal, Catherine Logue, has been delivering training and facilitation techniques since 1990. With the introduction of the first vocational qualification in 1995 known as the Certificate in Workplace Training Category 2 , Catherine tailored the course for her individual clients.

As the training curriculum changed, TLC continued to deliver the nationally accredited program while tailoring the case studies and materials to the individual clients. TLC now delivers trainer training on behalf of HBTA Qld in the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Retail Training, Beauty Training and Security Training have been delivered to the clients and their teams. In 2008, TLC moved the program focus to general management training in the Business Services Training Package. This included the comprehensive range of business workshops which TLC had been delivering to their business clients since 1995. This meant Supervisors, Managers and Business owners could undertake training and build a range of recognised skills to better run their operation and receive recognised qualifications in Frontline Management at the same time. TLC now delivers business and administration training qualifications on behalf of JMA Qld in the Diploma of Management and Diploma of Business Administration.

Principal Catherine Logue is a member of AITD Australian Institute of Training & Development, and ensures her team are also members of their professional body. More recently, Catherine has held a seat on the National Board of AITD, undertook the prestigious title of National President for a 3 year term and now acts as the Board mentor.

Catherine’s passion for training has been the driving force behind the special programs such as Innovation in Training, Innovative Training Methods, Innovation in Advanced Facilitation and Training Games to boost Involvement. New topics have been developed to add to this suite of specialty workshops for 2011. The overwhelming reaction of the participants has seen the development of products and manuals to provide them with more resources to tailor their own training delivery. TLC now self publishes training manuals, resources, inspirational DVD’s and inspirational posters for the dedicated training professional.

Another division, the Career Centre, was started in 1997 to assist graduates and clients with the development of their portfolios. TLC now works with individuals, business clients and government departments; developing resumes, applications and providing interview coaching to complete the cycle of career development. TLC has recently published a second edition of the Career Series booklets, which were released in 1998 to assist school leavers with the development of the profile folders.
