The Learning Place provides vocational training short courses for secondary school learners and industry participants. The company delivers school-based programmes, summer school options and NCEA courses that focus on practical, work-ready skills. Its catalogue includes barista and coffee craft, bartending, beverage service, workplace communication
and teamwork, confidence and resilience, group leadership, work ready preparation, health and safety, security, sports coaching and sports inclusivity. The Learning Place designs courses around NZQA unit standards so learners can gain credits while developing tangible skills. It also offers certification courses for people already in the workforce, particularly in hospitality and health and safety. Training is delivered face to face in schools and external venues, using simulated work environments to build skills that transfer into employment and everyday life.
