The Learning Centre is a full day early childhood centre that provides childcare and education for children from three months until they go to school. The centre organises children into small groups by age, with infant, toddler and mixed-age rooms supported by key teachers. It offers an uninterrupted play-based curriculum using open-ended resources
to support independent choices, early mathematical concepts, oral language and physical challenge. The Learning Centre follows Magda Gerber’s Educaring approach and RIE-informed, relationship-based practice, with a focus on respectful and responsive caregiving. The centre provides home-cooked meals and infant food, incorporating natural and heuristic materials and outdoor play spaces. Families use an online portfolio system to access children’s learning stories and centre notices, and enrolment includes settling visits with key teachers.
