The Hamilton Spectator is a daily newspaper that covers the Hamilton Area. The newspaper is published six days a week in the morning and has an average daily readership of nearly 260,000 adults. It services Hamilton, Burlington, and surrounding communities Stoney Creek, Ancaster, Dundas, Flamborough, and Glanbrook as well as the Niagara communities
of Grimsby and Beamsville along with Brant County and Haldimand-Norfolk towns such as Caledonia, Hagersville, and Dunnville.
The Hamilton Spectator is involved in numerous community partnerships with organizations that include Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, United Way of Hamilton & Burlington, the Art Gallery of Hamilton, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Mohawk College and McMaster University, Hamilton & Burlington, the Burlington Arts Centre, the Hamilton and Burlington Community Foundation, and the YWCA. The newspaper also contributes to the community by donating 1.8 million U.S. dollars in cash and in-paper advertising space to help strengthen charitable groups in the Burlington and Hamilton communities.
A key charitable priority for The Hamilton Spectator is the Hamilton Spectator Summer Camp Fund, which is managed by the Hamilton and Burlington Community Foundations. The newspaper was first published in 1846 and is based in Hamilton, O.N.
