The HALTER Project provides education, resources, and training focused on animal emergency and disaster preparedness. The program offers free preparedness guides, workbooks, ready-kit checklists, and multilingual materials for pet, equine, livestock, and ranch owners. It produces videos, blogs, webinars, and podcasts on planning for fires, floods,
earthquakes, pandemics, and other emergencies involving animals. The HALTER Project supports animal disaster and technical rescue training for volunteer and professional responders through information on courses, scholarships, and equipment. It collaborates with community groups and agencies, helps promote events such as preparedness workshops and ranch readiness days, and shares information on animal disaster relief and assistance programs.
