The Germination Project runs a fellowship program for high school students that focuses on leadership development, civic engagement, and social impact. The organization recruits 10th grade applicants into a long-term fellowship that includes a competitive selection process, mentorship, and ongoing project work. Its Summer Leadership Boot Camp,
hosted with Penn Medicine, provides classroom and experiential training in leadership and social entrepreneurship. Fellows participate in structured service initiatives in areas such as literacy, healthcare access, and public markets and financial literacy, working with partner institutions to design and deliver programs. The Germination Project also organizes the annual Draft Day Gala to induct new fellows and recognize civic and institutional partners, and it offers opportunities for donors to support fellows, teams, and projects. Through these activities, it provides sustained educational, networking, and applied learning experiences for student fellows.
