The Color Collaborative is a nonprofit public art initiative and shared studio space that focuses on community-engaged mural projects and arts programming. The organization designs and produces murals with organizations, schools, companies, municipalities, and community groups, often using participatory processes and workshops. Through initiatives
like Imagined Worlds, it combines youth mental health–informed curriculum with collaborative mural design to explore visions of safe and happy environments. The Color Collaborative also offers education programs such as art classes, community paint parties, and hands-on learning experiences for people of different ages. In its studio, it supports artists through shared workspace, studio nights, and workshops, fostering ongoing creative practice. Its work is used to activate public and shared spaces while inviting broad community involvement in the making of the art.
