The organization develops and disseminates The Basics Principles and related resources to guide interactions between parents, caregivers, and children from birth to age five. It offers
toolkits, training, and implementation guides for frontline and backbone organizations, supporting a public health style strategy across whole communities. The Basics provides Basics Insights, an age-targeted text messaging program that delivers tips and activities directly to families in multiple languages. Through the Basics Learning Network, it supports partner communities in adopting, adapting, and evaluating these tools within local systems such as health care, early education, and social services.
