The Accountability Project is a nonprofit organization that advances criminal justice reform by improving retention in post-release and diversionary drug treatment programs. The organization develops and operates ACET Checkin, a real-time QR code-based attendance system used to supervise court-ordered and diversionary treatment participation and to
report missed or incomplete sessions to courts and case managers. It provides consultation on reentry best practices and coordinated care, working with courts, treatment providers, funders, and impacted clients to identify and address trigger points in the reentry process. The Accountability Project focuses on using technology and structured early intervention to support individuals with substance use disorders in staying engaged in treatment as part of reentry or diversion plans. Its tools and programs are designed for judges, probation and parole stakeholders, treatment providers, and community-based supervision programs.
