TerraDat UK is a specialist independent geophysical survey company. They provides Geophysical Contracting and Consulting services to clients in the Energy, Geotechnical, Civil Engineering, Mineral, Archaeological and Environmental sectors. They have one of the largest equipment resources for shallow geophysical surveys in the independent private
sector and continue to grow in response to new applications where innovation is required.
TerraDat’s primary aims are to provide a high quality ground investigation and exploration service while promoting the wider use of geophysical science for existing and previously untested applications. The company has on-going research interests in conjunction with Earth Science departments at Bristol and Cardiff Universities with the intention of bringing newly developed ideas to the market.
TerraDat specialises in the following geophysical methods: Microgravity, seismic refraction, seismic reflection, MASW, borehole seismic, resistivity tomography, ground radar (GPR surveys), magnetics and electromagnetics. The scale of work we carry out extends from regional exploration surveys down to local investigations for engineering or environmental projects. Common targets for geophysics include bedrock profiles, water/ mineral resources, geotechnical properties, archaeological structures, voids, geo-hazards, UXO, brown-field features, geothermal prospects, mine-workings and many others.
