Telling Tales delivers children’s literary festivals and year-round literacy programming that connect young audiences with Canadian authors, illustrators, and storytellers. Telling Tales presents its signature multi-day festival featuring numerous live and virtual presentations, readings, and performances focused on children’s books. The
organization offers school programming with virtual educational sessions for students and educators, as well as free events such as StoryScapes and Celebrating Graphic Novels. Telling Tales also runs inclusive reading and activity programs designed with multi-sensory elements for children and youth with diverse learning needs. Throughout the year, it collaborates with schools, libraries, and community partners to provide in-person and virtual outreach that encourages children to read, write, and engage with stories.
