Company Performance Metrics
Team Sunshine Performance creates original performance projects that investigate contemporary American culture through theater, dance, and participatory events. The organization builds ensemble-generated works that encourage interaction between artists, audiences, and communities around social issues such as identity, climate change, grief, and
safety. Its productions include recurring projects like The Sincerity Project, The Great American Gunshow, and Your Optimism is Not Required, as well as one-time performance events. Team Sunshine Performance also runs YouthLab, which offers in-class and after-school workshops and internship opportunities for young people. These education programs use devising, physical theater, interview-based theater, and social-emotional learning to help participants explore personal and societal questions through collaborative art-making. The organization develops custom workshops with partner schools and community groups and maintains an ongoing schedule of performances and events.
