Tamizdat facilitates and advocates for international artist mobility and cultural exchange. The organization provides advisory support to international performing artists on U.S. visa and immigration issues, including through its TamizdatAVAIL assistance program and artist visa services in collaboration with CoveyLaw. Tamizdat conducts research on
systemic issues in the U.S. artist visa process and publishes resources such as advisories and its White Paper on Artist Mobility to the U.S. Tamizdat organizes webinars, office hours, and educational sessions at conferences to inform artists and arts professionals about current immigration policies and procedures. Through policy advocacy projects and public comments, it works with arts organizations and government bodies to address bureaucratic barriers to international cultural mobility.
