Synthistat develops synthetic histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors and engineered producer cell lines for viral vector applications and drug discovery. The company designs small-molecule HDAC inhibitors using structure-based approaches to optimise cap, linker and zinc-binding group components. Its candidates are developed for use in lentiviral
vector manufacturing to improve titres and replace conventional agents such as sodium butyrate and panobinostat. Synthistat also advances HDAC inhibitor candidates with drug-like properties and multi-target activity, including additional modulation of D2R, PARP1 and BRD4 for oncology indications. In parallel, it investigates gene-modified and knockout producer lines that suppress endogenous HIV-1 restriction factors in HEK293-derived systems to enhance lentiviral vector yield and consistency. These offerings are aimed at CDMO, academic and pharmaceutical users involved in cell and gene therapy and related research.
