SVA softwares product Codetracer, enables someone who has written a large financial model to analyse the model in a logical way that is likely to reveal errors of detail, such as a mis-typed number on page 754, or errors in commercial logic. All large projects, such as to build and operate a power
station for 30 years, will use financial models to determine whether to proceed and on what terms, and £bns will be riding on the decision. Experience has shown that such models often contain errors. Codetracer helps to reduce the chance of such errors. CodeTracer has been commercially marketed since June 2002, but has still not found wide acceptance. Active marketing to end-users and development ceased in 2005 at which point the company has focused primarily on the US and European patent application process.
