Part of the respected State University of New York system, SUNY Potsdam in Potsdam, New York offers challenging academics, lots of professional and recreational student activities, and you don’t even need SAT scores to get in!
Potsdam’s various academic divisions deliver degrees in such diverse fields as Archaeological Studies, Art Education,
Business of Music, Creative Writing, Criminal Justice, Engineering, Music Performance, Psychology, Theatre and Women’s Studies. Potsdam also has interdisciplinary majors, which allow students to build a major out of two or more subject areas.
Online, hybrid and traditional on-site classes are all offered. Students at Potsdam may also benefit from undergraduate research activities, internships, learning communities and service learning projects.
With over 100 student organizations available, students have the option of participating in extracurricular activities as well.
Since Potsdam does not believe in using standardized test scores as criteria for student performance, other factors such as grades and individual gifts and talents are evaluated in the admissions process.
While tuition is lower for state residents and is kept particularly low to maintain public school accessibility, financial aid is sometimes required and is available to those who qualify.
