STIMIT is a medtech company that is going to re-invent intensive care by empowering patients to breathe.
50% of all mechanically ventilated patients experience loss of intact breathing function, caused by a weak diaphragm. 40% of time in intensive care is spent only to wean patients from the ventilator, thereby rebuild diaphragm function and
rebuild ability to breathe. STIMIT's first therapy enabled by our device is being developed to keep the diaphragm active, strong and functional.
A strong diaphragm is essential to liberate patients from ventilators, shorten ventilation time and reduce morbidity and mortality.
Our second generation therapy is then going to open new doors to reinvent the way patients inhale air.
