The foundation runs several funding streams, including programs for research, development, health projects and rapid-response grants such as Ekspress. It supports projects that address
physical and mental health, quality of life and social participation across diverse target groups. Stiftelsen Dam operates an application and review system with external expert assessors and a documented scoring methodology. It also manages initiatives like Project RAD to make grant and process data available for research under defined conditions. In addition, the foundation promotes practices such as registered reports and open publication of results to strengthen transparency and quality in the projects it funds.
