ZOA is an international relief and recovery organisation that provides emergency aid and longer-term recovery support to people affected by violent conflict, displacement, and natural disasters. The organisation focuses on immediate needs such as food, clothing, shelter, and access to clean water and sanitation. ZOA also supports access to basic
and vocational education, adult literacy, and psychosocial support for people in crisis. Its programmes include cash and voucher assistance, livelihood and food security support, and reconstruction of housing and basic infrastructure. ZOA works on peacebuilding and social cohesion, including community-based dialogue and conflict mediation.
