St. Joseph Studio Workshop is a nonprofit community design workshop focused on the built environment. It works with community development organizations to provide accessible architectural design services from early needs assessment and feasibility studies through construction documents and post-occupancy assessments. The organization runs
internships and technical training for emerging design professionals and offers youth engagement workshops that introduce local students to design and making. It also conducts applied research on housing, building systems, and community infrastructure, often using full-scale prototypes and advanced fabrication technologies. Through studio, workshop, and design lab activities, it supports projects ranging from installations and interior renovations to full building and campus developments.
